If you are going abroad and have booked your flight you need to spend some time researching your airline and what you should and shouldn’t take.
All airlines have different restrictions and also many countries allow different items to be transported in and out of the country by plane. Firstly you need to ensure that you have a valid passport that will not expire within 6 months of your return date if it does you may find that you cannot travel so it is worth renewing it prior to you going.
If the travel company that you booked with has not told you exactly what you can and can’t take on the plane, then you need to get in touch with them or have a look on their website to find out the rules and regulations. Never take information off a third party website as this information may not be accurate or may be out of date. If you are at all unsure then it is best to phone the airline directly and ask them.
Items may need to be declared or may need to be stored in your suitcase. For example, any sharp objects such as nail scissors or tweezers must be in a suitcase not in your hand luggage.
